International MRMID Association
BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF PARTNER
International MRMID association is a non-profit organisation with the aim to support education and training of the response to major incidents and disasters. It is the owner of the Medical Response to Major Incidents and Disasters (MRMI) courses, currently organised by twelve MRMI-centres in different countries.
The MRMID association is responsible for development of methodology, quality assurance, coordination of instructor training, recruitment and certification of international instructors and approval and support of new MRMI-centres.
PARTNER’S ROLE IN THE Nightingale PROJECT
Based on the extensive practical experience, MRMID contributes to the identification of components in triage and pre-hospitalisation processes and to a thorough analysis of modern techniques and requirements. MRMID helps to analyse components in the chain of response and to understand how to improve the protocols and workflows in the event of mass casualty incidents.
MRMID also offers the possibility to test scientifically based and validated simulation techniques, which have been used in MRMI training. This will help to scientifically analyse and compare different methods in response to mass casualty incidents.
