NIGHTINGALE publishes highlights video from 1st Full-Scale Exercise (FSX) in Villejust, France
The NIGHTINGALE Project has published a video showcasing the highlights from the 1st Full-Scale Exercise that took place in Villejust, France.
On 9 June 2024, volunteers deployed the NIGHTINGALE toolkit in two distinct Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) scenarios at the CSP Training Centre, Villejust.
The Full-Scale Exercise was organised and hosted by the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris.
In addition to the 23 NIGHTINGALE partners from 11 countries, the exercise involved volunteers from civil protection agencies, including emergency medical services, along with civic volunteers. They deployed, tested, and evaluated the developed tools during the exercise.
Learnings from the exercise were gathered, and will be used to further refine the NIGHTINGALE toolkit and to inform future exercises.
Partners and experts without an assigned role in the FSX scenarios participated as observers and collected data and materials for the final assessment. The exercise concluded with a debriefing session on 10 June, providing an in-depth evaluation of the exercise.
