Welcome to the seventh edition of our LinkedIn newsletter! NIGHTINGALE aims to advance prehospital life support and triage with innovative technologies and digital solutions.
In this newsletter, we highlight some of the key activities that have taken place since our last newsletter and also pinpoint some upcoming events our NIGHTINGALE partners are participating in.

What’s New With NIGHTINGALE
The NIGHTINGALE Project is Presented at ECTES 2024
The NIGHTINGALE consortium attended the 23rd European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery in Estoril, Portugal from 28-30 April. During the Congress, a NIGHTINGALE presentation took place, focusing on integrating new technologies in mass casualty incidents, looking especially at the legal, ethical, and societal challenges.
NIGHTINGALE Attends EENA 2024
From 24-26 April 2024, NIGHTINGALE partners participated in the European Emergency Number Association Conference and Exhibition in Valencia, Spain. Our partner, CESTEL participated in an industry session with a focus on solutions available in the market. While, Magen David Adom in Israel presented the NIGHTINGALE Project as part of an industry session on innovations in crisis management.
NIGHTINGALE is Presented at ICMM Pan European Regional Congress on Military Medicine
In April, our NIGHTINGALE partners ESTES – European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery and I-SENSEGroup/ICCS attended and represented the project at the event in Athens, Greece. Our partners gave lectures and presentations which included NIGHTINGALE.
Technical Coordinator Hosts Hands-On Training of Key Tool
On Friday, 19 April 2024 NIGHTINGALE’s Technical Coordinator, ASTRIAL GmbH hosted a hands-on C3I/IMS training session in Germany. In preparation for the upcoming 1st Full Scale Exercise (FSX) in Villejust, France a representative from Greater Paris University Hospitals – AP-HP, attended ASTRIAL’s premises in Berlin to participate in the training.
Upcoming Events
1st Full-Scale Exercise, 4-10 June 2024
Next week, NIGHTINGALE is heading to Villejust, France to host our 1st Full-Scale Exercise. We will be testing the NIGHTINGALE toolkit in two distinct Mass Casualty Incident scenarios on Saturday, 9 June. We will be sharing updates from the field on our social media so be sure to stay tuned!
European Civil Protection Forum, 4-5 June 2024
Next week, our NIGHTINGALE partners I-SENSEGroup/ICCS will attend the European Civil Protection Forum in Brussels. They will be available to talk to attendees about the Project at Stand 4. Interactive demonstrations with some of the tools in the NIGHTINGALE toolkit will be available for attendees to participate in at the stand.
