In advance of the 1st Full Scale Exercise, NIGHTINGALE’s Technical Coordinator hosts hands-on training on C3I/IMS
On Friday, 19 April 2024 NIGHTINGALE’s Technical Coordinator, ASTRIAL hosted a hands-on C3I/IMS training session in Germany.
In preparation for the upcoming 1st Full Scale Exercise (FSX) in Villejust, France a representative from SAMU, Charles Champenois, attended ASTRIAL’s premises in Berlin to participate in the training.
Muhammad Ali, Martin Oputa and Evangelos Sdongos from ASTRIAL provided Charles with hands-on training of C3I/IMS.
C3I/IMS is a Command, Control & Coordination and Incident Management System that is part of a cluster with a focus on multi-agency collaboration, that is comprised of integrated systems that provide a common operational picture and advance coordination and cross-team collaboration of emergency medical services and civil protection agencies.
The training of C3I/IMS by ASTRIAL specifically addressed the roles of:
- Incident Commander on Scene (+Triage Officer, Loading/Transportation Officer);
- Control Room Coordinator/Operators/Dispatchers
The objectives of the training were:
- To provide hands-on practice at using the Command and Control & Incident Management Platform during a mass casualty incident;
- To comprehend the information exchanged with all field and HQ Tools of NIGHTINGALE
