Hi NIGHTINGALE subscribers,

Welcome to the sixth edition of our LinkedIn newsletter! NIGHTINGALE aims to advance prehospital life support and triage with innovative technologies and digital solutions.

In this newsletter, we highlight some of the key activities that have taken place since our last newsletter and also pinpoint some upcoming events and conferences our NIGHTINGALE partners are participating in.

What’s New With NIGHTINGALE

NIGHTINGALE Publishes Highlights Video From Small-Scale Exercise

Last month, NIGHTINGALE published a video showcasing the highlights from the 1st Small-Scale Exercise (SSX) that took place in Novara, Italy. The SSX saw volunteers from civil protection agencies deploy the first prototype of the NIGHTINGALE toolkit in controlled but realistic conditions resembling an MCI.

NIGHTINGALE Joined the 1st PEMEA Plugtests™ Event

On 12-14 February, NIGHTINGALE joined the inaugural Pan-European Mobile Emergency Application (PEMEA) Plugtests™ event in Sophia Antipolis, France. Organised by ETSI in collaboration with the PEMEA Consortium, this ground-breaking initiative brought together sixteen organisations from across Europe.

At this event, our partners PARTICLE tested our SWAPP Citizen App, developed as part of the NIGHTINGALE Project. The SWAPP Citizen App is developed by our partners PARTICLE, INOV, and CESTEL.

Brokerage Event SICUR 2024

On 27 February 2024, NIGHTINGALE Coordinator ICCS attended the International Brokerage Event within the framework of SICUR 2024, aimed at fostering collaboration in the field of security. The event was held in Madrid, Spain, and brought together actors from all the areas that make up the sector: security, cybersecurity, fire and emergency security, and security at the workplace. It offered the participants the opportunity to showcase and discover the latest technological developments in the field.

4th Plenary Meeting, 5-6 February

In February, our 23 partners and external advisors from 11 EU countries and associated countries attended the 4th Plenary Meeting. This online meeting included many insightful presentations and discussions, highlighting the progress made so far and the next steps of the NIGHTINGALE Project. We thank all of our partners for their active participation.

Upcoming Events

EENA Conference & Exhibition, 24-26 April 2024

NIGHTINGALE will attend the EENA 112 Conference & Exhibition as both participants and presenters. The annual EENA conference is a unique event for professionals in civil protection and emergency services to present new technologies and share valuable insights with experts from across the industry.

The NIGHTINGALE Project will be presented by Magen David Adom in Israel. We will be sharing more updates about the event on our social media channels over the coming weeks.

NIGHTINGALE Roundtable with end users, 28-29 April 2024

The next NIGHTINGALE Roundtable with end users will take place on 28-29 April 2024 at the Estoril Convention Centre in Portugal. The ESTES – European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery is organising the roundtable in conjunction with the annual European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery – ECTES 2024.
